Satmya is located in the wilds of East Clare, just outside the mountain village of Feakle. The area is steeped in magic, folklore & legend and it’s an absolutely gorgeous part of the world to explore. Famed for traditional music, being the home of Biddy Early (famous Irish wise woman/herbalist) and associated with many folk tales. It has a diverse & interesting community with many healers, craftspeople, artists, homesteaders and organic farmers.
We are lucky to be surrounded by wild beauty with stunning lakes, mountains and unspoilt scenery. If you are staying for a few days there are plenty of great options for accommodation and If you’re up for a little activity there are great local walking trails, canoeing, SUP, bike trails, etc. to keep you occupied.

Coole Park (20minute drive) – This is a stunning nature reserve located just outside Gort, Co. Galway. There’s a great cafe there too.
Visit the Burren national Park – (25minutes drive) – Stunning scenery & really magical place to visit
