A Contemporary Gurukula Training Model
Our training follows a traditional learning principle sometimes described as Gurukula — where knowledge is transmitted through direct study, guided observation and practical immersion
At Satmya we aim to reflect this spirit through immersive training weekends, clinical exposure and a supportive student environment.
We believe Ayurveda is best learned through experience as well as study.

Students train within a functioning professional Ayurvedic clinical environment:
- Clinical treatment rooms
- Herbal dispensary
- Medicinal plants
- Learning centre built of natural materials
- Wood-fired sauna and hot tub
- Native woodland surroundings
Whenever possible food served during training is grown onsite in our polytunnels. We grow our food using biodynamic principles and only serve organic vegetables. If we cannot grow them ourselves we source organic ingredients locally.
