Fruit-and-yogurt

Ayurveda recommends that certain food combinations be avoided for optimal digestion. When dairy and (most) fruits are combined they cause the digestive system to become burdened creating sluggishness and other digestive problems. In Ayurveda, this is how toxins (Ama) are created which eventually leads to more serious health problems.

If you do want yoghurt for breakfast or a snack just add raw honey, cinnamon and cardomom to it. Yoghurt can be a little heavy for this time of year, so be sure to spice it up! Always choose an organic, natural and unsweetened yoghurt as they’re often loaded with sugar.
